The spirit of the Lord.... Lord of Justice.... Darkness to Light.

 This article from Isaiah 42. May the Lord bless through his word.

Even though God has chosen Israel as his people, He is the God of the entire world. He has the plan for salvation and blessing for the entire world. God has chosen and called Abraham, But he promised that, you will be a blessing, All peoples on earth will be blessed through you.  

In Isaiah chapter 42, God is saying that " I will put my spirit on my servant, he will do justice for the gentiles. It means the God of justice, express his compassion, anger on injustice here.

Some of his servants were blind, not given attention to the injustice. So God's word here about his servant with whom God's spirit stayed on..(42:2-4)

"He will not shout or cry out, or raise his voice in the streets. A bruised reed he will not break, and a smoldering wick he will not snuff out. In faithfulness he will bring forth justice; he will not falter or be discouraged till he establishes justice on earth. In his teaching the islands will put their hope."

God doesn't likes the poor suppressed, the weak destroyed.. So he wants to bring justice and the way of justice is peace. The creator of heaven and earth, one who give breath and life to the people, his heart is longing, crying for the people suppressed. By upcoming verses purpose of calling revealed by God,

“I, the Lord, have called you in righteousness; I will take hold of your hand. I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people and a light for the Gentiles, to open eyes that are blind, to free captives from prison and to release from the dungeon those who sit in darkness."

 

These words (verse 6,7) fulfilled through Jesus Christ, he is the one needs to save the entire world from sin, darkness, injustice, bondage.

God is worthy to be praised, to get glory, he is almighty, he is savior, he is telling that in verse 16

"And I will bring the blind by a way that they knew not; I will lead them in paths that they have not known: I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight. These things will I do unto them, and not forsake them."

Today we need God's people with his spirit, not to be silent, release the people from bondage, bring to the light those who are in the darkness, Already Jesus died for sin of this world and finished his part. we should not be like the eye closed, deaf servant. 

Is God telling to you, being as a servant of God, with the desire of filled with spirit.....?

"You have seen many things, but you pay no attention; your ears are open, but you do not listen.”

Let us obey his Voice, fulfill his will... as his servant.
